Open Position: Hotel Analyst

Hamilton - Pyramid Europe is a leading full-service hotel management and co-investment platform focused on providing unparalleled expertise to hotel owners throughout Europe. Hamilton Pyramid Europe is currently looking for a Data Analyst to join our UK and Scandianvian hotel management team. The successful candidate will join an experienced team of hospitality and investment professionals and be based in our London office, with frequent travel around the UK and Scandinavia required.

The preferred candidate will be a graduate from a recognised hotel or business school with a minimum of 2-3 years of working experience/internship(s) in a hotel management company, consulting firm or any other business related to the hospitality industry.

We expect candidates to possess strong analytical skills and excellent interpersonal skills, and it is vital that candidates are self-starters with extremely strong self-motivation and desire to learn and grow quickly. Candidates should be competent in reading hotel financial data, conducting in-depth research, preparing financial models and writing reports.  Additionally, we expect candidates to have strong verbal and written skills, with fluency in English and a second language preferred (Danish, Swedish, Norwegian).

 Responsibilities will include:

  1. Carrying out and presenting well structured, in-depth market research.

  2. Assisting in preparing financial models, including investment analysis and Profit and Loss models.

  3. Assisting in preparing revenue management analysis and trend analysis.

  4. Supporting the commercial team to establish an optimal mix, reviewing forecasts, identifying strategies for different demand periods, and reviewing pricing strategies.

  5. Supporting in presenting detailed, yet concise written reports.

  6. Formatting all deliverables, in both MS Word and Excel, to the highest standard.

  7. Creating engaging and informative Power Point presentations.

  8. Assisting in carrying out due diligence work.

  9. Assisting in analysing hotel performance and advising on short-term and long-term business strategies.

  10. Supporting the team in the monthly financial and operational reporting within the scope of the asset management and hotel management projects.

  11. Assisting the team in collaborating with relevant parties to drive improvements in key industry indicators, such as occupancies and average rates.

  12. Working closely with the Operations Manager and the Area Vice President - Europe, presenting operational strategies and results to ownership and key stakeholders.

  13. Challenging the operational activities of the hotels in order to drive revenues, maximise efficiency and encourage cost management.

  14. Working with the above-property teams and GMs to ensure profits are maximised in line with GOP and NOI targets, as well as the implementation of new projects.

 The Hotel Analyst will, in time, be required to provide support in other Hamilton projects, which may range between Asset Management, Hotel management, Acquisition and Development support, strategic planning and portfolio reviews.

 To successfully fill this role, you should be able to demonstrate:

  1. Minimum of 2+ years work experience. 

  2. Ability to analyse financial data to present strategic/tactical options. 

  3. Experience in presenting to senior executives and ownership representation.

  4. Strong verbal and written skills with fluency in English and preferably a second language required.

  5. High proficiency in MS Excel, Word and Power Point.
