Director - Cost & Project

Nigel’s skills and experience reflect his background as both a Chartered Surveyor and a project manager. Prior to joining Hamilton, Nigel was a director of The Hook Consultancy, a practice that was founded by Nigel 25 years ago. The practice undertakes the provision of development advice, project management and contract administration functions for both commercial and leisure properties such as hotels, bars and clubs as well as undertaking professional surveying work. Nigel has worked as an adviser to Hamilton over the period 2013 to 2021 and became a full-time Director in July 2021.

Current and Recent Commissions:

  • Advice and assessment of capital spend for large hotel portfolio in the UK on behalf of the Asset Manager, Hamilton Pyramid, appointed by Middle East ownership.  

  • Advising and project management upon private hotel acquisition and development for a US investment company.

  • Project enabling for bedroom refurbishment, public areas, restaurant and golf club set up for a resort hotel.

  • Project management of 5* London hotel, extension and refurbishment of bedrooms and public area and offices
